West Virginia redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Gillespie won the 1,000- meter race with a Big East-qualifying time of two minutes and 54.16 seconds Saturday at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted at Kent State.
Gillespie, a native of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, also finished fourth in the 800 in 2:16.43. Other Mountaineer winners were senior Chelsea Carrier in the 60-meter hurdles (8.42), and the 4x400 relay team of Shakiyla Cosby, Jordann Mitchell, Brittany Wolford and Carrier (3:51).See the full content of this document
