By winning their final two regular-season games, the University of Charleston women made things a bit easier for themselves entering the West Virginia Conference basketball tournament.

For one thing, the Golden Eagles wrapped up the regular-season championship with a victory over West Virginia State on Saturday and earned the only bye in the annual tournament that begins today with seven on-campus games. Last week, UC defeated Concord to move from second to first place in the conference.
