"We work to give veterans hope when they return from service. We help homeless vets with housing. We help with health care. We help them get jobs," said Tubbs, a volunteer with the LifeBridge Veterans Corps. "Some of us have walked in the same shoes they did. All of our 16 volunteers are veterans themselves.
