Motorists and pedestrians should note the following street and ramp closures as well as no-parking areas during the Charleston Regatta, to be held Thursday through Sunday in downtown Charleston:

* Kanawha Boulevard from Capitol to Clendenin streets. Closed from 6 p.m. Tuesday through 3 p.m. Sept. 2. To accommodate businesses in the area, one westbound lane between Goshorn and Clendenin streets will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday. On Thursday and Aug. 29, this lane will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. This lane will be closed 24 hours a day from 5 p.m. Aug. 29 through 1 a.m. Sept. 1.
