Tanker Truck Wrecks, Leaks in Boone

Summary


SYLVESTER - Cleanup crews were called to Boone County on Thursday after a petroleum tanker truck owned by Petroleum Products, Inc. wrecked and spilled about 1,000 gallons of diesel fuel, according to the state Department of Environmental Protection.

DEP inspectors went to the site to oversee the cleanup efforts at Elk Run Coal Company's Black Castle Mine, said DEP spokeswoman Jessica Greathouse.
