Summary
Early morning April 1, I saw the Vatican Museum and stepped onto the holy ground of St. Peter's Basilica. I even went into the Sistine Chapel. Then night fell, and so did the hearts of thousands of Catholics worldwide as they heard the news of intensive care being brought to the pope's Vatican apartment and the final rites being proposed.
The following day was undisputedly the most significant and saddest day of my spring break trip to Europe. It was on April 2 that Karol Jozef Wojtyla, better known as John Paul II, passed away. I, personally, will never forget being in Rome that day.See the full content of this document
