Snow Contributes to Fatal I-79 Wreck

Summary


It may officially be spring, but wintry weather hit parts of the Mountain State and contributed to a fatal accident that temporarily closed Interstate 79 Sunday morning.

A northbound car slid into the southbound lanes and hit a southbound tour bus head-on, a Braxton County sheriff's deputy said. The bus then crossed the median and hit a guardrail on the northbound side, blocking traffic. Northbound lanes were closed for about 90 minutes. Southbound lanes were also closed temporarily.
