PRESIDENT Bush's call to eliminate or reduce 150 programs would save taxpayers $15 billion a year. This should be only a baby step toward reducing the federal government to a size taxpayers can afford.

These programs range from B.J. Supak Olympic Scholarships at $1 million to the $1.2 billion annual subsidy of Amtrak.
