NEW YORK - Studying hard in school can bring sweet rewards, like screaming, "We love you!" to Taylor Swift from cushioned seats that match the color of Clifford the Big Red Dog.

The Grammy-winning superstar stopped by Scholastic Inc. headquarters on Wednesday to chat to and perform for some 200 New York City school kids, most of them girls. The youngsters, selected by their schools because of improvement in their reading scores, had received a break from class to see Swift, 20, talk about reading and writing.
