IMPERIAL, Pa. - One-way fares on the 25 most popular flights from Pittsburgh International Airport fell 24 percent from the first quarter of 2000 to the first quarter of 2005, according to federal transportation figures.
The U.S. Department of Transportation figures show that the average fare dropped from $179 in the first three months of 2000 to $135 in the first three months of 2005. The drop precedes the arrival of low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines in May.See the full content of this document
