CORONA, N.M. - Investigators pointed Sunday to a pile of pine needles that someone lit and failed to put out as the source of a 4,000-acre wildfire burning in central New Mexico. Authorities weren't sure who started the fire, but the investigation continued.
The Lookout Fire, the state's first large wildfire of the season, was spotted creeping along the ground Friday in the Cibola National Forest. Strong winds soon sent the blaze racing through ponderosa pine, pinon and grassland.See the full content of this document
