A second vote Thursday to slash retiree health care benefits for future state and public school employees turned out the same as the first vote - but with a six-month delay before the cuts take effect.

At the end of a 50-minute meeting Thursday, the Public Employees Insurance Agency Finance Board voted to eliminate retiree health- care subsidies for all employees hired after July 1, 2010.
