CINCINNATI - Cincinnati rookie quarterback Andy Dalton led four first-half scoring drives while overall No. 1 draft pick Cam Newton of Carolina struggled in the Bengals' 24-13 preseason victory Thursday night.

Dalton, Cincinnati's second-round pick from Texas Christian, was 11-of-17 for 130 yards and a touchdown, putting together a 107.5 quarterback rating. He didn't play in the second half.
