An Elkview woman is suing a day care on allegations that workers there caused her arrest by making a false statement to police officers regarding an injury her toddler son sustained in 2009.

Megan L. White, formerly Megan L. Nettles, had been the subject of a felony child abuse investigation after workers at the Good Shepard Development Center at 700 Chappell Road in Charleston told police in 2009 that her 3-year-old son's collarbone was broken before he arrived at the center one day, according to a lawsuit filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court.
