The State Police and local officials may already have their hands full enforcing the state's first all-terrain-vehicle safety law, which took effect last week, but the deluge of new or revamped statutes has only just begun.
The bulk of the Legislature's work this session - 187 of the 271 bills signed by Gov. Bob Wise - becomes law between Tuesday and July 1. Most of this legislation passed in the final days of the session, and included a 90-day delay before enactment.
