I love your white mist covering the shoulders of the hills at morning-mist that will be frost in such a short time, but is now a white vapor that is exhaled from the earth and dissipated by the warming rays of the sun.

October, you have a perfume all your own that makes me intoxicated just to breathe it. It is the very essence of autumn distilled in the moonlight and released by the sunlight. It is compounded by sunshine on dry leaves, fallen hickory nuts and walnuts and rich black soil in the woods.
