Private investors are presenting Charleston in a new light through a recently launched Web site, www.Why CharlestonWV.com. The site is owned by Monarch Holdings and its primary purpose is to promote the city of Charleston and to encourage people to come to the area.
"If they come for the weekend, great. If they come to live, even better. It's our hope to show people what many in the Charleston area already know: Charleston is a wonderful place to be," explained Georgette George of Monarch.
