Across the country, demand for a synthetic form of marijuana, with names like spice and genie, but known primarily as K2, is soaring. It is legal in most states, but a handful of lawmakers are taking action. Missouri became the sixth state to ban the use of K2 in July 2010.
It provides a high likened to marijuana, but can be 15 times more powerful and leads to a disturbing range of symptoms. It is incredibly dangerous with people having slight tremors to seizure activity. K2 is packaged in brightly colored bags and may only look harmless. It is very easy to get and is not detected by drug tests. Nationwide, more than 500 people had phoned poison centers concerning K2 by mid-July 2010.See the full content of this document
