Kanawha Cooks, Students Upset About Food Quality

Summary


Fed-up students and cooks from schools around Kanawha County told the Kanawha County school board Monday afternoon that the government- mandated healthy meals served in their school cafeterias this year are "terrible" and that the new menu should be scrapped.

"I personally think that the food is terrible," Rachel Seizmore, a junior at Riverside High School, told the board. "I've gone a whole week without eating anything because it's all vegetables. Not one kid likes it."
