FINALLY, the United States has stopped executing juveniles. The Supreme Court was sharply divided in its 5-4 decision Monday. Nevertheless, the landmark ruling ends the barbaric practice in 19 states.
America has long been criticized for executing defendants who were juveniles - legally children - when their crimes were committed. Iran, Pakistan, China and Saudi Arabia still allow the practice.
