KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The West Virginia Power was unable to hang on to an early 3-1 lead and lost 9-6 to the Kannapolis Intimidators Thursday.

The Power (25-34) gave up six runs in the third inning, falling behind 8-3. Kannapolis (26-34) sent 11 batters to the plate in the inning and took advantage of three walks and a Power error. Second baseman Dale Mollenhauer led Kannapolis, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI.
