The last sitcom I really, really liked - ABC's "Knights of Prosperity" - got the ax after only 13 episodes. Luckily, I don't think the same fate will befall the new one I'm excited about: NBC's "Community," which premieres at 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

"Community" has created a good buzz, and it's landed on several "top fall shows to watch" lists. Plus, NBC did, after all, renew last year's unfunny "Parks and Recreation," and the "Community" pilot is funnier than all that show's episodes combined.
