Summary
Oh, the wonderful, beautiful, life-giving rain! It came softly; at first it was just a few scattered drops in the air that swiftly grew to a heavy downpour. It gushed out of the gutters and ran in rivulets down the driveway and into the drainpipes. Rain goblins danced on the black top and rushed on their merry way to the creek.
We rejoiced also. The garden was begging for water, and the grass on the lawn was beginning to turn brown. The meadow was dry and sere, while the delicate flowers in their beds were wilted and unhappy. The rain came just in time.
