National Forests Join Statewide Burning Ban

Summary


The Monongahela National Forest has joined with the state of West Virginia in restricting the use of outdoor fires because of the extreme dry conditions and the approaching leaf drop.

"Dry leaves combined with very little precipitation makes this year more worrisome than usual in the forest," said Monongahela National Forest Supervisor Clyde Thompson.
