Mountain Stage offloads a host of notable acts into Clay Center in back-to-back shows This Sunday and Monday, Mountain Stage offers up a pair of back-to-back shows in the Clay Centers Maier Hall that offer some extra surprises that come along with the headliners. Below are profiles of three of the 10 acts, which include (on Sunday) Bruce Hornsby, John Cale, Ricky Fante, Jenn Adams, Lori McKenna and (Monday) Judy Collins, Christine Lavin, Eliza Gilkyson, Jesse Winchester and Girlyman.

Bruce Hornsby is one very busy guy. When reached earlier this week by telephone, he had been home only a few days from a European tour before planning to head back out for his Sunday night "Mountain Stage" appearance. That performance will be followed by a series of shows up and down the East Coast and then in New York, in support of his latest release, "Halcyon Days," which he quickly points out is a record in which he brings the piano back in full force.
