Senate President Earl Ray Tomblin said Wednesday the Senate will largely ignore Gov. Bob Wise's bill to allow private investment in state transportation projects and pass a more narrowly tailored version.
Tomblin is sponsoring a bill (SB221) similar to those senators passed each of the last two years. It would allow the state to partner with private investors to build otherwise unaffordable road and bridge projects.See the full content of this document
