Delegate Seeks Review of Rehab Profits

Summary


Delegate Sally Susman wants the state to review the rates stand- alone rehabilitation hospitals charge patients in West Virginia.

"I was very surprised to learn that these for-profit facilities are reaping profits as high as 34.5 percent," said Susman, D- Raleigh. "We need to make sure that the dollars spent for rehabilitation are going to patient care and the employees who provide that care, and not lining the pockets of Wall Street."
