It might have taken more than 20 years, but the Kanawha County courts are finally cashing in on the tens of thousands of dollars in forfeited bail bond money that has languished in the court system for decades.
On Wednesday, Magistrate Court officials held the first of two hearings to talk to the more than 500 citizens who collectively posted more than $145,000 in bail for defendants who then skipped their scheduled court appearance.See the full content of this document
