Children's Mental Health Program to Expand

Summary


A nonprofit program that helps children with serious mental illnesses and their families has secured funding to continue its work and expand.

The Huntington-based Mountain State Family Alliance had hoped to get a specific $1.5 million legislative appropriation in the state budget that passed Sunday. Instead, the Department of Health and Human Resources found money within its budget to continue the program, said agency spokesman John Law.
