Summary


My mom used to shop at O.J. Morrison's and I remember the basement had a shoe shop where I could get heels on my Thom McAn shoes while Mom looked at the fashions upstairs. Built on the site of The Burlew Opera House, today you can look carefully and make out where the walls of the opera house still show through.

The founder, O.J. Morrison from Ripley (1869-1952), had several stores and was a highly successful merchant.
