GRANTSVILLE - The Calhoun County prosecuting attorney is resigning because of what she calls an "irreparable breakdown" between her office and the West Virginia State Police.

Shelly DeMarino, who has served as the prosecuting attorney in Calhoun since 2008, submitted her resignation Monday.
