IN regard to the Gazette's endorsement in the secretary of state race: The fact that my brother Roger Pritt did not get the endorsement was a disappointment but not a surprise (considering what happened to me during the 1996 election). To leave Roger Pritt and Donna Accord out of the list of candidates was shocking.
As a journalism major, I know that a newspaper has three ways of pushing its agenda, in addition to reporting the news: not covering a candidate (blacking them out), using negative adjectives to describe the candidate, and selecting photographs that reflect the candidate in a negative light.See the full content of this document
