Kanawha County sheriff's deputies arrested a St. Albans man after finding drugs, a gun and a bulletproof vest in his home, said Lt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
Police went to the home of Charles Lee Smith, 36, on High Street Tuesday evening after getting a tip about illegal drug deals there. Inside they found 80 hydrocodone tablets, 9.6 grams of crack cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, a .30-caliber rifle and a military-issue bullet-resistant vest, Crosier said.
