2007 Campbells Creek Summerfest Arrives This Week

On July 2, new officers were installed for the 2007-2008 term of Kanawha Rebekah Lodge No. 9, Charleston. The officers were installed at Kanawha Lodge 25, IOOF, by Sister Doris Carney, district deputy president, and Alice Shafer of Forest Rose Rebekah Lodge 143, Poca.

Page, Charleston Mu Students Graduate with Top Grades
Marshall University awarded nearly 3,000 degrees at its 170th commencement on May 5 at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington. The total of 2,920 degrees included 1,460 undergraduate degrees, 1,000 graduate degrees, 49 School of Medicine degrees, 98 associate degrees and 313 degrees from the Marshall Community and Technical College.

Aarp Members Eligible for Power Tickets
AARP members will receive free or discounted tickets, and the first 1,000 people through the gates will receive a handheld fan on AARP Night at the Ballpark at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston on Monday, Aug. 13. The West Virginia Power takes on the Charleston (South Carolina) Riverdogs at the 7:05 p.m. game.

Kanawha Central Youth Wrap Up Eventful Season

Meet Catfish (ref. 4849), a 1-year-old, male, mixed-breed dog, and Tina (ref. 46), a 2-year-old, female cat. Catfish has a nice personality and needs a new home. Tina is a tabby cat and would make a wonderful pet.
Chuck Wagon Gang to Sing Sunday in Jackson
The Chuck Wagon Gang will present a concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, in the air-conditioned auditorium at the Church of God convention center of Rippling Waters campground in southern Jackson County. Tickets are not needed.

Fifth Annual Valley Heritage Tour to Be Held On Saturday
