'Driving Miss Daisy' Set to Run at Marshall Nov. 29-Dec. 2

"Driving Miss Daisy," winner of the 1988 Pulitzer Prize and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Off-Broadway Play, will be presented by the Marshall University Theatre Department Wednesday, Nov. 29 through Saturday, Dec. 2 at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center in Huntington. Shows begin at 8 p.m. daily. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens 60 and older and $7 for youth 17 and under.

Limited Number of Tickets for 'We Are Marshall' Premiere Available

A limited number of tickets for the premiere of "We Are Marshall," which takes place Tuesday, Dec. 12 at the Keith-Albee Theatre, went on sale Monday, Nov. 13 in the box office at the Joan C. Edwards Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available for $250, $500 and $1,000 each. If tickets are still available after Nov. 13, they will remain on sale in the box office, but also go on sale online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Winter Teen Programs Scheduled at County Libraries

Six area libraries will offer craft and other programs that have been designed especially for their teenage patrons this winter. Call the host library to register for classes of interest.

Food for Thought, Food for Fines Campaign Moves to February

For 18 years, Kanawha County Public Library offered Food for Thought, Food for Fines during December. This year, the annual food drive moves to February to coincide with Library Lovers' Month. This long-standing campaign is a way for the library to reward its loyal patrons and assist local homeless shelters and food banks at the same time.
