Silverman One Crass Comedienne

South Charleston High School Sarah Silverman's stand-up comedy movie "Jesus is Magic" is downright rude and confrontational - not for the faint of heart. But if you can get past that, you may enjoy her fearless stage style and quirky act.

Teens Learn Value of Money

Sissonville High School Parents often preach to us about the trials and tribulations of the "real world." They continually remind us of these obstacles to encourage us to become more responsible or independent as adolescents. Yet, for the most part, we are still completely dependent on them.

Film Clips

* "UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION": H Marquee Cinemas, Park Place Stadium Cinemas. If "Underworld" wanted to be "The Matrix," then "Underworld: Evolution" wants to be "The Matrix Reloaded." Directed with all the subtlety of a stake to the heart, it's smothering in its darkness and jarring in its jerky action sequences. The ending sets up the possibility of a third installment, which perhaps will be titled "Underworld: Revolutions." Rated R. * "END OF THE SPEAR": HH 1/2 MC. An independently produced re...

'Nanny' Worthy of Andrews

REVIEW "Nanny McPhee" HHH 1/2 Rated PG (mild thematic elements, some rude humor and brief language) Directed by Kirk Jones Starring Emma Thompson, Colin Firth Marquee Cinemas, Park Place Stadium Cinemas Imaginative and funny, "Nanny McPhee" resembles a Julie Andrews film festival - without Andrews. Like "Mary Poppins," the movie's about a magical, no-nonsense British governess, and, like "The Sound of Music," she shows up at the doorstep of a distracted widower to whip his seven naughty child...
