Renew Your Faith: ; West Side Church to Host Faith Workshop Tuesday

Karen Lapidus will lead a special workshop on nurturing faith development in children. The workshop will be Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Kanawha Valley. Lapidus, who has 16 years of experience as a director of Religious Education at two Unitarian congregations, will present the workshop with the topic "What is Faith Development and How Can We Nurture It for Our Children?"

Community Events

VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT The Charleston Family YMCA will host a Christmas volleyball tournament for three co-ed divisions on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4 and 5. Intermediate Rec. and Recreational division games will be played on Saturday, Dec. 4. The Advanced Rec. Division will play on Sunday, Dec. 5. The entry deadline is Monday, Nov. 29. Fees are $100 per team. For more information, call Travis Chandler at 340-3535.

Touch of Life: ; Tech Players Present Grand Version of Broadway Hi 'Guys and Dolls'

West Virginia University Institute of Technology students, faculty members, and friends recently did themselves proud at the Montgomery site. The event was a four-performance weekend presentation of the Broadway hit of a few years ago, "Guys and Dolls." Once again the cast, orchestra and the behind-the-scenes people made excellent accounts of themselves in presenting this two-act play set in the streets of New York's Manhattan Island.

LUNCHEON The Woman's Club of Charleston will hold their General Club Luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at their clubhouse, 1600 Virginia St. East, Charleston. Youth Groups Collaborate for 'Winter Dance'

The River City Youth Ballet, Inwood Dance Company and Schrader Youth Ballet will present "Winter Dance Spectacular' on Monday, Dec. 13 at the state Cultural Center in Charleston. The two-hour program of ballet, jazz and modern dancing will include Inwood's new George Balanchine commission, "Valse Fantaisie," to music by Glinka.

CHRISTMAS BAZAAR Charleston Baptist Temple will host its Annual Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 in the Fellowship Hall, 209 Morris St. There will be crafts, children's activities, baked goods, gift items and prizes. Area motorcyclists will hit the highways next weekend in Dagger's 18th annual Motorcycle Toy Run to benefit the Salvation Army. Riders will depart Tomahawks Smoke House and Saloon on MacCorkle Avenue between St. Albans and Spring Hill promptly at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11. Riders are encouraged to come early for coffee and socializing.
